This California Privacy Notice supplements the TexScape Privacy Policy and applies solely to users who reside in the State of California. It is provided in compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (CPRA). Any terms defined in the CCPA/CPRA have the same meaning when used in this Notice.
1. Categories of Personal Information We Collect
In the past twelve (12) months, we have collected the following categories of personal information from California consumers:
- Identifiers — such as name, email address, and phone number, collected when you contact support, subscribe, or register an account.
- Personal information categories listed in the California Customer Records statute (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80(e)) — such as your phone number and emergency contact information.

We use the categories of personal information listed above for the following business or commercial purposes:
- To provide, operate, and improve the TexScape Service.
- To deliver and schedule SMS messages you configure.
- To verify your phone number and emergency contact via Twilio.
- To administer the refer-a-friend credit program.
- To send push notifications for promotional purposes, with your consent.
- To maintain security, troubleshoot issues, and improve app performance.
- To respond to support requests.
- To comply with legal obligations and carrier requirements.
3. Sharing of Personal Information
In the past twelve (12) months, we have disclosed personal information to the following categories of third parties for business purposes:
- Twilio Inc. — for SMS delivery. Twilio processes your phone number and message content solely to deliver messages you schedule.
- Google LLC (Firebase) — for analytics and referral attribution. Firebase processes anonymized usage data including device identifiers and app interaction events.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Your Rights Under the CCPA/CPRA
As a California resident, you have the following rights:

You have the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which we collected it, the purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA/CPRA rights. We will not deny you goods or services, charge you different prices, or provide a different level of quality of service because you exercised your rights.

We will verify your identity before processing your request. Verification may require you to confirm the phone number or email address associated with your account. We will respond to verified requests within 45 days. If we require additional time, we will notify you of the extension and the reason for it within the initial 45-day period.
You may submit a request on behalf of a minor child for whom you are a parent or legal guardian.
6. Authorized Agents
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. To do so, the authorized agent must provide written proof of authorization, and we may require you to verify your identity directly with us before we process the request.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Notice, unless a longer retention period is required by law. When personal information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.
